I primarily write stories about queer women, identity, loss, and untold stories from history.
My screenplays have received various honors and awards at both national and international screenplay festivals and conferences, including the LGBTQ+ Los Angeles Film Festival, multiple ScreenCraft competitions, the Austin Film Festival, Script Awards Los Angeles, the California Women’s Film Festival, the Richmond International Film Festival, the Nashville Film Festival, the University Film & Video Association juried competition, and others. My poetry and creative nonfiction pieces have appeared in Sinister Wisdom, Ghost City Review, and in two anthology collections from Exisle Publishing.
I am currently in development on a feature film, Let There Be Light, which is co-written with writer/director, Paula Andrea Cajiao. We are working on a proof-of-concept short film version, which we hope to film in the coming months. If you’d like to support our project/learn more, check it out here.
